Health Checkup Camp

Free health Check up through free doctor consultation, Free blood glucose test, Free ECG camp for needy and underprivileged people of Society at Midnapore Scan Centre, Talbagicha collection centre on 1st October, 2023.
Renowned Dr. Atis Basak(MD), Dr. Nilanjana Chanda (Critical care Specialist), Dr. Vikram Dandapat (Boroma Super speciality Hospital) were there for free medical Consultation.

Eye Screening Camp

Eye Screening camp organized by Obolombon :: অবলম্বন in association with Midnapore Rotary Eye Hospital where 100+ underprivileged people got the opportunity  of free eye Screening even in whole day heavy rain. 16 Patients has been enlisted for free cataract operation.
The camp held on 30th September 2023 at Midnapore Scan Centre, Talbagicha Branch.

Tree Plantation

Obolombon has successfully conducted “Tree Plantation Program on 19th Oct ,2022.Many native saplings were planted in Talbagicha High School & GSFP 1 School Vicinity .This programme was done in association with Flender Drives Private Limited.

Food Distrubution

To honor India’s 75th anniversary of independence i.e 15/8/2022 team Obolombon conducted a special drive at Nimpura’s disabled rehabilitation centre where lunch was distributed amongst 100 orphans and disabled children.

Every Indian, despite the state or country he/she is living in, should appreciate & celebrate this day with their whole heart.

Blanket Distrubution

Obolombon has sucessfully conducted it’s drive on 19th December21, We have distributed new blankets and winter garments to 250+ villagers and also we have provided lunch for all of them.

Cyclone Relief

Relief Materials among 2000+ people who got affected in Cyclone “YAASH” has been distributed at Gadadharpur, Duttapur and few more villages of Digha, Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. Materials includes puffed rice (Muri), Sattu, Sugar, Biscuits, Soap, Packaged drinking water bottles, flaked rice.

Eye checkup camp

With immense pleasure team Obolombon is happy to share the news with all of you that on 11th day of April, 2021, we have successfully conducted the “Free Eye Check-up Camp” in association with Midnapore Rotary Eye Hospital. More than 150 aged patients voluntarily turned up for a free eye check-up from the nearby rural areas. All the patients were assisted with proper care, spectacles were provided as required and those who were diagnosed with cataract, they will be sent for an operation to Rotary Eye Hospital in Midnapore which will be absolutely free of cost.

21 needy patients who were diagnosed with cataract during the camp, were operated at free of cost by Obolombon in association with Midnapore Rotary Eye Hospital at Midnapore Rotary Eye Hospital.

Free medical checkup camps

“Bazar E Doctor”(Doctor at market) commenced from 03rd day of June, 2021 inaugurated at Talbagicha Market then consecutively at Prem
Bazar, Gole Bazar, Nimpura Bazar and Gate Bazar under the supervision of Dr. Nilanjana Chanda and Dr. Ishani Ghosh where the buyers and sellers of the markets had the facility of free health check up including BP Monitoring, SPO2 check, free random blood glucose test and free medical consultation. Medicines were also provided to the underprivileged.

Clothes Distribution

New Clothes Distribution, 2020

As festivities were knocking the door new garments were distributed amongst 150 needy women & children of Kharagpur rural areas.

Old Clothes Distribution

We all are aware that clothing is the basic necessity of life, and keeping that in mind we collected old clothes from different areas of
Kharagpur, sanitize them & accordingly we distributed the same amongst 250+ needy people of different areas of Kharagpur rural and town.

Blanket Distribution

At the onset of winter season, more than 75 blankets were handed over among 36 needy families of Cholladanga village.

Audio awareness camp

Audio awareness campaign were conducted along with leaflet distribution in Kharagpur Town by us regarding the prevention & protection
against COVID 19. These awareness camps were run throughout the pandemic.

Blood Donation

We are organizing Blood Donation Camp from the year 2020.

1st year a total of 50 persons donated blood during a camp held at Talbagicha here on 16th of may 2020 Organised by Team Obolombon with the help Medical team of West Bengal hospital,the camp was held on the occasion of collection of various types of blood which can be use for emergency purpose.

2nd year of Voluntary Blood Donation Camp by Obolombon Social Welfare Association was organized on 12th June 2021 at Talbagicha Yuva Sangha Durga mandir premises. About 40 persons donated blood during this camp.

3rd year voluntary blood donation camp on 27/11/2022.About 52 persons donated blood during this camp.

In future we are planning to make this initiative in large scale and collection of blood in a Mobile Van, so that we can reach out to more people in this society.

Food Distribution

Staple and Meals Distribution

 

  • 470+ underprivileged families are benefited in the rural areas of Kharagpur.
  • Cooked food distributed amongst 1900+ underprivileged people in six phases at different rural areas of Kharagpur.

Food Distribution among Sexworkers and Transgenders

As soon as Obolombon heard that these people were in distress during the lockdown period, we immediately lend a hand to them.

Essential food items distributed amongst 25+ transgender and sex workers of Kharagpur town.

Food Distribution among children

Nutritious foods distributed amongst 250+ needy children at ward no. 34 of Kharagpur Municipality.

Special Drive for Underprivileged Children

The smile on their faces made our day as Obolombon conducted a special drive for the underprivileged children of Cholladanga village (Gopali Gram Panchayat) where we distributed snacks packets amongst 55+ children.

We also conducted a drive for 75+ needy children of ward no. 35 of Kharagpur Municipality where stationery items were handed over to them.
